921震後，南投山區地質破碎，通往信義東埔的道路每雨必坍，遊客進不來，產業歷盡12載寒冬！一直到4年前「日月雙橋」竣工通車，保障了當地交通隨時暢通，而壯觀的橋體也成賞景賣點，近兩年溫泉區夯到不行，非假日旅宿住房率，達5到8成！「琉璃光之橋啟用，正好與日月雙橋相輝映！」信義鄉長史強夫人鄭景馨說，琉璃光之橋每天帶來上千遊客，逛完玻璃橋順便進東埔泡溫泉，拉抬不少人氣！
