遭遇平均身高相差11公分的澳洲，中華隊昨在亞洲男排錦標賽第5、6名次賽，終以30比32、15比25、25比21、22比25吞敗，本屆亞錦賽雖拿第6名，仍是中華隊隔14年重返亞洲6強行列，奮戰表現仍值讚許。近6屆亞錦賽最佳只拿第8的中華隊，如願追平2001年亞錦賽第6成績，中華隊總教練陳克舟賽後表示，「第1局有2個局末點沒拿下，士氣多少受挫，第2局接發球又出狀況，真的很可惜。」

總結中華隊本屆亞錦賽表現，陳克舟認為國手們認真與拚勁沒話說，但也因為比較年輕，起伏比較大些，穩定性有待加強，以100分來算，總教練陳克舟給了中華隊80分，「還有很多小細節需要加強！」中華排協秘書長章金榮昨也表示，本來今年亞錦賽設定目標就是前6，選手表現很好，尤其前天能贏南韓更不容易，「我想今年中華隊凝聚力與整體性很好，鬥志也很旺，打球氣氛終於出來了。」不過章金榮強調，從亞錦賽也可看出中華隊抗壓性與穩定性不足，身材也居劣勢，接下來排協將會努力提升年輕世代國手身高，增加國家隊未來競爭力。(中國時報)
