距2016年里約奧運還有1年半，大多數新蓋與維修運動場館即將進入收尾；7月起將展開21個運動種類測試賽，考驗著里約承辦奧運和場館應變能力。該地去年8月已舉辦帆船測試賽，今年7月起陸續展開划船、馬術、自由車公路賽等室外項目，主要在讓選手提前適應奧運期間的氣候。位處南半球的里約，11月至明年2月進入夏天，屆時網球、桌球、拳擊、田徑、游泳等測試賽將進入高峰階段。里約奧委會測試賽主委穆藍表示，測試賽對於奧運與帕拉林運動會來說都非常重要。
