老屋是沉默歷史見證者，唯有新靈魂傳承，讓沉默不再沉默！高雄湊町漫遊祭系列活動，7月中旬開始辦理哈瑪星老屋鑑賞營，吸引懷舊世代關注，更看到青年世代的熱情報名，意外且感動。台語「哈瑪星」是日治時期，鐵路「濱線（Hamasen）」音譯，當時有兩條濱海鐵路通往商港、漁港與漁市場，「湊町」、「壽町」、「新濱町」則是當地行政區。

現存哈瑪星老屋包括「山形屋」、「武德殿」、「明治製菓高雄配給所」、「一二三亭」及哈瑪星新濱老街廓等，依舊保有當初日式建築風貌。昔日打狗停車場在卸下鐵道運輸角色後，如今更名打狗鐵道故事館成為當時繁榮紀錄者。二戰遭美軍轟炸全毀打狗郵便局，戰後原址設立高雄鼓山郵局，是高雄第一個現代化郵局。此外，勇奪《La Vie雜誌》台灣百大文創第一名的駁二特區，更成功翻轉舊港灣宿命，搖身一變成為文創藝術新寵。唯一不變西灣夕照，始終映照哈瑪星百年風華。如今，哈瑪星正以昔日風采，吸引人流連往返，徘徊今昔新舊之際，感動年輕世代以創新思維，賦予城市記憶新價值。(中國時報)，
