工總名譽理事長、和桐集團創辦人陳武雄，從參與台灣石化產業起飛，創辦和桐化工至今，先後投資過光電、生技公司，進行多角化經營，即便曾遇到面臨下市危機，但始終以一向自豪的「橄欖球精神」突破經營困境。但近年來遭遇多道司法關卡，包含和鑫光電內線交易案、優力詐貸案，似乎擋下了他衝刺30多年的腳步。現年74歲的陳武雄為台大化工系畢業，美國西維吉尼亞州立大學化工碩士，最初在外商服務，擔任美國杜邦公司工程師。1970年回台接掌紡織廠，1973年開始致力發展石化下游產業，先是創設和益化工、1980年創辦和桐化工，以製造清潔劑起家，逐漸晉升為台灣石化代表性企業之一。

工總名譽理事長、和桐集團創辦人陳武雄，從參與台灣石化產業起飛，創辦和桐化工至今，先後投資過光電、生技公司，進行多角化經營，即便曾遇到面臨下市危機，但始終以一向自豪的「橄欖球精神」突破經營困境。但近年來遭遇多道司法關卡，包含和鑫光電內線交易案、優力詐貸案，似乎擋下了他衝刺30多年的腳步。現年74歲的陳武雄為台大化工系畢業，美國西維吉尼亞州立大學化工碩士，最初在外商服務，擔任美國杜邦公司工程師。1970年回台接掌紡織廠，1973年開始致力發展石化下游產業，先是創設和益化工、1980年創辦和桐化工，以製造清潔劑起家，逐漸晉升為台灣石化代表性企業之一。

陳武雄從1996年起3次出任石化公會理事長；2006、2009年也連續2屆擔任全國工業總會理事長；2009年更被聘為國策顧問，在工商界的地位與影響力不言可喻。雖頂著留美碩士光環，但這位石化大老經營之路並不順遂。從石化業起家後的30多年間，接續創辦金桐石油化工、廈門金桐合成洗滌劑、金桐精細化學、賽亞基因科技、南京冠鑫光電等企業，企業足跡遍及兩岸，領域跨足石化、光電、生技等。尤其是跨足到光電、生技這類跟石化沒什麼關聯的產業時，曾一度引起外界質疑，甚至虧損累累，讓和桐瀕臨下市危機，但陳武雄則以在台大時最愛的「橄欖球」為核心精神不斷衝刺。不過，這回面對司法判決即將入監服刑，陳武雄算是踢到鐵板，未來能否逆轉勝，還得再觀察。(中國時報)，
