智慧型手機早已成為生活必需品，手機殼更是保護愛機或展現獨特個人風格的工具。但美國新澤西州警方日前呼籲民眾，不要使用手槍造型的手機殼，以免被警察誤判是真槍而釀成憾事。新澤西州警方1日在臉書與instagram專屬帳戶發文，貼出幾張民眾使用「假槍手機殼」的照片，包括用手機講電話，或者放在口袋露出槍柄。旁人乍看之下極可能認為此人帶著真槍。此殼有多款樣式，上網就能買到。

新澤西州警方呼籲民眾說，假槍手機殼「是個可怕的點子，而且非常危險。一旦民眾與警方接觸，他們沒有足夠時間辨別槍的真假，但會在剎那間做出判斷。我們強烈建議您，為了自身與警察的安全，不要用這種產品。」幾位網友表示贊同，並指此種手機殼的創意「太爛」、「太可怕了」。美國近年發生多起青少年持玩具槍卻遭警察誤判，被開槍射傷甚至擊斃的事件。知名案例為去年11月，俄亥俄州克里夫蘭市12歲非裔男童塔米爾．萊斯在遊樂場揮舞玩具槍，被警察連開2槍，結果傷重不治。(中國時報)，
